DAVIDSON AUTO BATTERY

CAR, ARMOURED, 4X2, MG

In 1900 a Colonel Davidson and students at the Northwestern Military and Naval Academy, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin built a number of lightly armoured cars armed with Colt .38 caliber machine guns. The vehicle was powered by a tubular steam boiler and had some difficulty in negotiating hills because of changes of the water level in the boiler.
