IGUANA

SERIES OF FOUR-WHEEL ARMOURED VEHICLES

The initial Iguana in a reconnaisance configuration was unveiled in 2002 and was designed in response to a now dormant Brazilian requirement for a new family of vehicles that were to be based on Mercedes-Benz components for local construction. Sabiex currently offers three versions of the Iguana, the amphibious FV270A (7.5-tonnes GVW), the better-protected FV270 (9.5-tonnes GVW) and the mine-protected FV290MPV (9.5-tonnes GVW). It is possible that the amphibious variant has been adopted by Peru and a small number of vehicles have been ordered by Venezuela.
