Hi! My name is Jim. I am an ex-soldier having served from 1967-1991 in the 9th/12th Royal Lancers - the premier cavalry regiment of the British Army. As well as running the JED Military Equipment Database I am an independant radio program producer operating out of Northern Ireland. I use Blog Talk Radio as the primary distribution method for my military band music program. It will be also featured on some community radio stations in the near future. I can also produce one-off programs or program scripts for military band music and commemorations of historical military events.

Why radio? Well I'm too ugly for television - I did try and cure this once by growing a beard but everyone said I looked like Henry VIII and women wouldn't come anywhere near me....

Military & Music is a program about military band music interspersed with some military chat as well as other military related items includes jokes, news, historical items, book, magazine reviews, interviews, opinions and chat from listeners. It is produced and broadcast on BlogTalk Radio and can include recordings made using Skype.

Listeners can also call in or message me while the show is live and contribute to the program. The show is also archived after the broadcast time and can be listened to later by accessing my Blog Talk Radio page which also has details of how callers contact to the show while it is live or me when the show is over.
