The Katok was a revolutionary design proposed by Humber Ltd of Coventry and consisted of a single enormous roller, 100' in diameter, 12' wide,
weighing over 40tons with an internal power plant. The device was designed to be controlled by a tank following behind. Experiments showed that the
outer cylinder would have to have its thickness increased to 4in thick steel and this would have resulted in its weight being unfeasible and so the project
was dropped.
