The BPzV combat reconnaissance vehicle is based on the BVP-1 chassis and intended for independant reconnaissance or combat in the enemy rear areas. It features improved
armament, protection and mobility.
The armament and equiopment of the vehicles is the same as a normal BVP-1 but the vehicle is also equipped with an additional 902S eight barrelled smoke grenade
discharger on the rear of the turret as well as a PSNR-5 radar.
