The Strop basically consists of the PLDvK vz.53/59 twin 30mm mount fitted toa BVP-1 chassis. In addition a new commanders hatch is fitted and the
forward pair of hatches and all the roof pericscopes of the troop compartment have been removed. In front and below the gun mount is the housing for
the various sights associated with controlling the weapons.
The Czech Army evaluated the vehicle but did not accept it for service and several examples have been seen in use in Angola though it is not known
whether they are of czech or Angolan production or used by the Angolan or Cuban Army.
