PENGUIN MK II

The Penguin Mk II was developed by the Directorate of Vehicle Development, Army Headquarters in Ottawa and were all conversions of the Snowmobile Armoured Canadian Mk I. Thirty vehicles were converted and had the following improved features over the Penguin Mk I.
    Double skinned body and sponson doors instead of the rear entrance.
    Crew compartment heating improved.
    Redesigned engine and radiator for better cooling.
    Altered final drive and weight distribution to improve preformance and ride.
    Better accessibility to components to ease servicing.
