| The K216 NBC Reconnaissance vehicle is equipped with a selection of equipment including a Mobile Mass spectrometer (MM-1), double wheel
assembly detector unit, vehicle weather observing system (VWOS) and collective NBC protection system.
The Mobile Mass spectrometer (MM1) is capable of recognizing and identifying organic vapors and aerosols in air as well as solid and liquid organic
compounds on surfaces. The detection is possible while the vehicle is moving by utilizing the double wheel assembly for collecting the specimen from
the ground surface.
Collective NBC protection is achieved by integrating vehicular overpressure system, which has dual function of purifying the air and inducing the higher
pressure than atmosphere to crew compartment.
