CARRIER, AMPHIBIOUS, TRACKED, LASER


MTU was tested in mid-1970s as short-range air defense system using CO2 laser, made by Avco-Everett, with an output power of 10-15 KW in continious mode. Helicopters at 900m were shot down during the tests.
