The AAVP-7A1 RAM/RS ( Lit; Vehicle Reliability, Availability, Maintainability/Rebuild to Standard Program) modifications consist of engine and suspension components from the M2/M3 Bradley, modified for the AAV series. Modifications to the AAV over the last several years lowered the ground clearance of the vehicle due to imcreased weight, especially after the introduction of the EAAK supplemental armor. The Bradley suspension components increases the ground clearance from 12" to 16" and the Cummins VTA-903T engine package increases the horsepower from 400hp to 550hp.
