| 364 Australian Army M113A1 Armoured Vehicles will be upgraded by Tenix to M113AS3 standard. They will be capable of speeds of over 65kph with a gross vehicle mass in
excess of 15tons. Deliveries of the vehicles are scheduled to commence in 2005.
The upgrade includes: up-armouring, upgrading the power plant, transmission, braking and steering, improving the ride quality and load capacity of the suspension, new
double pin track system, new fire suppression system, crew climate control including a cool drinking water system, external fuel tanks, and an up-armoured powered turret
