| The RAP (Lit; Rhodesian Anti-Personnel) aka ZAP (Lit; Zimbabwean Anti-Personnel) series consists of plastic bodied cylindrical shaped anti-personnel mine which are designed
to wound or kill by blast effect. This mine was based on the design of the British No 6 'Carrot Mine'.
The mines are made up of two halves: the fuze assembly and the tubular body containing the main charge. During shipping, the fuze assembly has a safety cap and a split pin
that secures the plunger. The detonator protrudes from the threaded portion on the base of the fuze assembly. The mine body has a central threaded well to accept the fuze
and detonator and a pointed base to ease the placement of the mine into the ground. The mine is difficult to locate using metal detectors under most field conditions. Due to its
small surface area.
