| These are wooden, blast-type anti-tank mines that utilise a pull/pressure-actuated fuze. They first appeared during World War II and were widely used being easy to
manufacture, even under field conditions. When built without nails they were very hard to detect but, as they were not waterproof they were unsuitable for permanent
minefields.
The variants of this series all closely resemble one another, differing only slightly in overall dimensions, weight and sizeof the pressure bar on the mines lid. They all consist of
an oblong wooden box with a hinged lid. The front of the lid overlapped the box and was recessed in the centre of the overlap to fit over the protruding end of an MUV pull fuze.
These mines are normally painted green or white and the markings on the lid are black. The fuze is unpainted and has no markings and may be steel or plastic.
