SERIES OF VEHICLE-MOUNT DECONTAMINATION STATIONS

DDA-53C

The DDA, aka ADA, truck mounted decontamination apparatus steam decontaminates chemically & biologically contaminated clothing and small items of equipment. It also provides hot water for showers and personnel decontamination. It generally consists of two steam chambers, an RI-3 vertical boiler which provides hot water and steam, a fuel oil tank, a pump for filling the system and delivering water to points of use, a formaldehyde tank, 12-head portable shower unit, hoses and other accessories. The apparatus does not have a water feed tank for the boiler and this has to be obtained directly from a natural source or transported by ARS-12 or water tanker. A collapsible water tank is normally used to store water delivered by truck.
