| The PF-98 is a lightweight, self-contained, anti-armour weapon consisting of a free-flight rocket-type cartridge packed in a one-piece, fiberglass-wrapped, reuseable launcher
tube. It is man-portable, and can be fired either on the tripod or from the right shoulder of the gunner. The launcher is watertight for ease of transportation and storage. The
launcher barrel life is over 200 rounds.
The PF-98 launcher consists of a launcher tube, the aiming sight, and a tripod. The tripod of the battalion version PF-98 is adjustable and can be locked to provide a more stable
support for higher firing accuracy. The rear-end of the launcher tube has a lock mechanism to stop the rocket rounds from slipping when shooting at a high angle elevation.
The PF-98 has two types of 120 mm projectiles: High Explosive Anti-Tank (HEAT) and High Explosive Multipurpose.
