| The REB [Lit; Rapidly Emplaced Bridge] series consists of a self-contained trailer launching a 2 or 3 section bridge capable of spanning 14- or 22-meter gaps with a military load
class of 30-tons. It is usually transported and launched from a trailer launcher but can be integrated onto various chassis to accomplish the launch, recovery, and transport of the
bridge. It was designed and built similar to aircraft construction techniques which gives it a strong yet lightweight bridge system.
The trailer mounted REB can be towed and operated by numerous support and/or combat vehicles, and is air transportable in a C-130 or larger aircraft. It is lightly armored and
can be launched remotely from a covered position over both wet and dry obstacles.
