The SA was the second japanese attempt at a marginal terrain vehicle and resembled its wartime predeccessor the FB.
The vehicle was 6.945-metres long, 2.945-metres wide and 2.20-metres high with unloaded weight of 8.25-tons. It was powered by 130PS water-cooled diesel which gave it a
maximum speed of 19kph on the mud; 8kph in the water and 35kph on solid ground. There was a crew of 2.
