| The Willys WAC (Lit; Willys Air Cooled) aka Willys Jeeplet was a mid-engine, air-cooled vehicle able to carry three personnel or 500 pounds (227 kgs). Two vehicles were
completed, with the first version having a front cowl made from aluminum, which proved too weak. The second prototype used steel but otherwise vehicle details and
performance were the same. The vehicles proved to be under-powered and the location of the engine in the middle of the vehicle made them difficult to service.
The basic design later resurfaced as the XM443.
